At Livi, it’s always been our aim to give people better access to outstanding healthcare, but we also understand how important it is to make things easier for GPs. We are all too aware of how much pressure GPs are under, and lightening that load is a significant focus for our team.
A year on from our acquisition of the industry leading patient engagement platform, Mjog, we have launched our new Mjog by Livi website, showcasing our combined talents and highlighting the end-to-end solutions we can offer our partners. Our Livi digital GP service - recently rated Outstanding by the CQC - helps practices by providing extra capacity, whether that’s to cover staff holidays or sickness, or provide out-of-hours cover. Mjog offers practices a suite of options to engage patients via text messages, on an individual level, through batch messaging, and everything in between.
Over the pandemic, this seemingly simple solution has underpinned a quiet revolution in how practices communicate with patients, from Covid vaccination reminders to signposting digital GP services. As our phones become ever more central to how we access services, it’s a solution that makes instinctive sense to patients. But it also offers huge opportunities for practices to streamline many aspects of patient engagement, such as appointment reminders and seasonal flu campaigns - our partners using Mjog report up to a 70% reduction in ‘did not attends’. And knowing you can quickly warn people about practice closures or website issues offers peace of mind even when dealing with the unforeseen.
But there’s a wider use case here too, and as we continue to integrate Livi and Mjog over the next few months, we’re really excited about the possibilities it presents. Prevention, and helping people stay healthy for longer is a key focus, as is supporting those living with long-term conditions to effectively manage their health. We may be a year into our integration, but in many ways, this is just the beginning.
